COSA FotoLimo (landlimo means border in Esperanto) is a cross-border festival of photography and visual arts whose main driving force is the concept of borders, understood in its broadest sense. The festival takes place between the towns of Cerbère, Portbou and Colera during the second half of September. With a background of five consecutive editions, the objective of the festival continues to be to promote artistic creation, education, and research around the multiple manifestations of the border, approached from fields as diverse as migration, gender, body, social fractures or landscape, always from a creative and transformative perspective. In this context, FotoLimo presents itself with the particularity of being the only European-wide cross-border photography and visual arts festival to be held simultaneously in a double location around the French-Catalan border. Through the development of an interdisciplinary high-quality program managed by a team with both a social and an artistic background, the festival integrates exhibitions, screenings, conferences and workshops by both consolidated and emerging authors, with the aim of offering a space for reflection for all kinds of audiences, and with the objective of generating new tools and perspectives in order to conceive the border as a space of bond, not of separation. |

Riaperture è un nuovo festival di fotografia a Ferrara. La prima edizione si terrà dal 17 al 19 marzo 2017, sviluppando un progetto di ricerca espressiva che scorrerà su un duplice binario: la riapertura di spazi dimenticati della città e la riapertura di quesiti sopiti che le immagini andranno a smuovere. L’obiettivo è creare una connessione diretta tra spazio urbano e fotografia.

COSA Ever since ancient times, touch has been considered the least deceptive of our senses and the most certain: only what we touch exists, only what touches us exists. It is when closing our eyes that we discover the importance of this perception. Touch implies a particular form of mutuality: we cannot touch without being touched and maybe, just for this reason, touching helps us connect to other humans and the surrounding elements. Through gestures such as caressing, holding hands and hugging we can communicate, comfort and support while creating and sharing mutual well-being. During the past two years, the pandemic has rendered touch taboo. The imposition of social distancing forced us to translate our interactions into digital form, and our fear of the disease has transformed our hands into something to dread and avoid. Yet, a form of touch starvation was already underway amongst people, fostered precisely by technology and social networks. This year, with an edition dedicated to touch, we want to show, through the images of national and international photographers, the importance of physical exchange and the connection between human beings. Verzasca Foto Festival 2021 brings along another important change: after seven editions in Sonogno, for the first time the festival will be held in Brione Verzasca. The meetings, lectures and night projections will take place at Castello Marcacci, while the exhibits will be displayed through the woods of the village. Once again, we want to connect photographers and visitors to the territory and the people who inhabit it. Through meetings, convivial moments and outdoor exhibitions which interact with nature and the architecture of the stone villages, visitors will be able to explore the area in synergy with the works, artists and locals, in an intimate and informal dialogue. |

COSA his festival is about emerging photography, not silly. Emergent: that is not submerging, inattentive or diffident, although it can be barbiponiente, concupiscent and iridescent. A commitment to those works that have not yet had exhibition channels. People who believe in what they do and want to tell about it. And in addition to being able to be seen in the usual places, it will also be in the street: it is appropriate that what has been made to be shown can be found without going to look for it, making everyone a spectator of a look at the world that raises questions , discover secrets or simply destroy your life. It would be nice if, on the way to those places where you practice pernicious activities that incline the body to ease and the mind to debauchery, you stop to contemplate the jobs you will find on the street and, in addition and of course, those that require crossing a threshold, physical or mental. |

COSA Il mondo del giornalismo, in tutte le sue forme, e? spesso autoreferenziale. Vogliamo in tutti i modi evitare che il Festival del Reportage sia la solita kermesse in cui giornalisti, fotografi e documentaristi parlano dei loro lavori e di se? stessi. Bisogna superare questa logica, aprirsi in modo nuovo al pubblico. Il Festival del Reportage ha le idee chiare, su questo punto. I suoi ospiti costruiranno un vero e proprio “spettacolo”, incrociando proiezioni di immagini, audio e racconto orale in modo da riprodurre i loro lavori, sul palco, con una chiave nuova. Una rielaborazione che da? al contenuto una nuova veste e che risulta attrattiva e stimolante per il pubblico |
